I've spent the last 25+ years doing two things I'm genuinely passionate about: working at the leading edge of the technology industry and trading the financial markets.
Most people keep those worlds separate. I never did, and it turned out to be one of the best advantages I could have as a trader.
My Background
My career in technology has spanned over two and a half decades, working in and around the semiconductor and enterprise tech space. That experience gives me something most market analysts don't have, a ground-level view of what's actually happening inside the industries driving this market. When I talk about AI capital expenditure trends, semiconductor demand cycles, or why a particular company's product roadmap matters to its stock price, I'm speaking from direct experience and not just reading research reports.
On the trading side, I've been actively trading stocks and options for over 25 years through multiple market cycles: the dot-com boom and bust, the 2008 financial crisis, the COVID crash and recovery, and everything in between. I've traded long-term positions, short-term swings, and options strategies including covered calls using weekly options. I consider myself a technical analyst at heart and I strongly believe price action and volume tell you things that fundamentals alone never will.
Why I Built Trucharts.com
Honestly? Frustration.
After 25 years of trading, I was still spending too much time clicking around between platforms, switching tabs, waiting for pages to load, and paying for multiple subscriptions just to get a complete picture of a single stock. The tools that existed were either too basic for serious analysis or too expensive and fragmented to be practical.
I wanted one platform where I could pull up a real-time chart, check the fundamentals, run a screener, look at the dividend history, backtest a strategy, and see algorithmic buy/sell signals, all without leaving the screen. When I couldn't find it, I built it.
Trucharts.com is the platform I always wished existed. Every feature on it came from a real need I had as a trader, and every design decision was made with one question in mind: does this save time and help make better decisions?
Beyond the Markets
When I'm not analyzing charts or following market developments, I'm usually planning the next trip. I love to travel and the further and more interesting, the better. European architecture in particular never gets old. There's something about standing in front of a centuries-old cathedral or walking through a medieval city center that puts the short-term noise of the market in perspective.
It's a good reminder that time horizons matter in travel, in life, and in trading.
